The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations is convening a Regional Food Safety Conference creating a forum for in-depth discussions on food control systems in the region and existing and emerging food safety issues. The Conference will analyze the role that science and technology could play for the provision of safe and nutritious diets. The dialogue will cover traditional topics such as food safety standards as well as new and emerging subjects such as fake or misleading news relating to food safety in relation to COVID-19.
With the slogan “Regulate. Delegate. Participate”, the Conference aims to accelerate the promotion of food safety as a culture that benefits both businesses and consumers.
