Nagatsuka MitsukiThere was a lot to learn about food science during our internship. I have had little chance to learn about dairy food like bread, tofu, pizza, and noodle, and how they are made so delicious, but the experiments we conducted made me think deeply about the chemical reaction and the characteristics of the microorganisms in the food we eat. It was also a great honor to visit and see the process in food factories and, I can never forget when we made Vietnamese cuisine with the help of Professor Nga at her house. Lastly, I would like to appreciate all of you who supported us in every way and made our stay a delight. We shall not forget to thank the HUST students who always asked us what Vietnamese food we wanted to try and then actually took us to the delicious restaurants. It was always fun for us to have a conversation and laugh about cultural differences between our generations but from different nationalities. Thank you!Watanabe Azuki
I could spend valuable time in HUST. I don’t study food science at university. However, I could understand food science a little and enjoy training at HUST because HUST’s professors and students supported us. Through the training at HUST, I could learn a lot of things not only about food science but also about Vietnamese culture. It was very interesting. I’m glad that I went to HUST and spent great time with HUST’s professors and students.Iwaki RunaI’m studying food science in Japan, so what I learned and did at HUST was very interesting. I am studying food science in Japan. I participated in the training program at HUST this spring and had various experiences with HUST members, not only in experiments but also in learning about Vietnamese culture. I am very happy that we were able to learn and enjoy each other’s cultural differences from Japan. It was the most fulfilling month ever. I would like to thank all the teachers, students, and everyone who was involved with us.
