Assessment is essential in improving education programs. The assessment plan also includes enterprises as employers of students who graduated from our programs. Data is collected frequently in business exchange activities organized by the School such as job fairs. The participating enterprises are major and leading enterprises in the fields of biotechnology, food technology, and other related fields and have already recruited many alumni of the School of Biotechnology and Food Technology. The survey questionnaires focus on three components of program learning outcomes, i.e., knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Knowledge is evaluated based on background knowledge, expertise, management, and culture. The skill component is assessed based on professional skills, problem-solving skills, communication and teamwork, the ability to work under pressure, computer skills, and the ability to communicate in English. As for the attitudes, the questionnaires focus on professional ethics, sense of discipline, honesty, sense of community, progressive attitude.
Based on the evidence obtained from the objective surveys of employers, the School of Biotechnology and Food Technology has been gradually adjusting the undergraduate program curricula to improve the quality of education and ensure our students’ success after completing a degree at our school.
