The Newton International Fellowships has been launched to enable researchers to work for two years at a UK institution with the aim of fostering long-term international collaborations.
The Scheme aims to attract the most promising early career postdoctoral researchers from overseas in the fields of natural sciences, physical sciences, social sciences and humanities. The Newton International Fellowships Scheme is run by The British Academy and the Royal Society. Please kindly be informed that the Scheme is NOT under Newton Fund.

Basically, the Fellowships provide grants of £24,000 per annum to cover subsistence and up to £8,000 per annum to cover research expenses, plus a one-off relocation allowance of up to £2,000.
They provide grants to individual researchers (already obtain PhD degree and should have no more than 7 years of active full time postdoctoral experience at the time of application).
